A semen analysis may have been booked for you. The semen analysis is performed on the day of consultation and prior to seeing the doctor. This is in order for the doctor to make an informed judgement about your future investigation or treatment.
If a semen analysis has been performed in another unit within the last 3 months prior to your consultation in our clinic, if you are able to supply us with the result there will be no need to repeat this test. If not, it is important that a semen analysis be carried out at the time of your consultation. Please abstain from intercourse for 3 days before your visit to us.
