Egg sharing is a unique opportunity that allows women facing fertility issues to help one another whilst never meeting.
Women who join the Lister Fertility Clinic’s egg sharing programme receive free standard IVF treatment. They also have the chance to share some of their eggs with women who are unable to use or produce their own eggs. Egg recipients rely on other women to provide their donated eggs and although we have one of the largest egg donation programmes in the UK, many women are still waiting for their chance to have a child. The programme ensures both women have an opportunity to achieve a pregnancy. In addition to receiving free standard IVF, egg sharers also receive greatly reduced prices for additional treatment options such as Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI).
Our research data, published in a respected peer review journal, also shows that the treatment does not reduce an egg sharers chance to achieve a pregnancy or live birth.
