How to use the pregnancy calculator

This fertility calculator uses information from the 3360 IVF / ICSI treatment cycles performed at the Lister Fertility Clinic between 1st January 2005 and 31st December 2006. You can use the calculator to get an estimate of your chances of having a successful treatment cycle in our unit. 

• Start by choosing your age group (using age of female partner)

• You can then select 1 or more additional factors to see how they affect pregnancy rates such as
  • attempt number
  • your FSH level
  • number of eggs obtained at egg collection
  • number of embryos transferred
  • whether blastocyst embryos were transferred or not
  • whether you ever been pregnant in the past.
• If you select several of these factors together you may find only a small number of treatment cycles matching those criteria and the results in percentages will be less significant.
• The results give the total number of
  • positive pregnancy tests
  • pregnancies lost
  • pregnancies that have already delivered or are ongoing beyond 20 weeks
• It also calculates the percentage chance of having a positive pregnancy test or ongoing/delivered pregnancy
  • per treatment cycle started
  • per egg collection
  • per embryo transfer.
